My biggest career achievement would have to be starting my journey by assisting one of the best colorists in Chicago at a luxury salon. That experience is invaluable; it not only honed my technical skills but also taught me the importance of artistry and client relationships in this industry. Working alongside such a talented professional really inspired me and laid a solid foundation for my career.
How would you describe your personal style:
I’d say my style is a mix of trendy and grunge. I love combining bold, modern pieces with that laid-back, edgy vibe. Distressed jeans, oversized flannels, muted colors and vintage tees are my go-tos. I want to look relaxed but still put-together, like I just threw something together, but it’s all intentional. It’s really about expressing my personality and embracing that rebellious spirit while still staying current with trends.
What is your approach to hair:
As a colorist in training my approach is all about understanding my clients' unique needs while encouraging them to try new things and be daring. I love pushing the boundaries of color while still respecting their comfort zones. I focus on enhancing their natural beauty and incorporating current trends that fit their style. Communication is key for me; I want my clients to feel confident and excited about their hair, so I ensure we’re on the same page throughout the process. It’s all about creating vibrant, dynamic looks that make them feel great.
